On September 14, 2026 Buddy's Buddies set up a booth at the Mandelstam Slingshot Marketplace event for young entrepreneur's and sold custom-designed mugs, t-shirts, cookies & boba to raise money for The Lucy Project, a literacy education non-profit supporting children with dyslexia and reading differences. Vera won the Best Sales Team award and was recognized for the articulate and passionate way she spoke about her products and mission!
On August 16, 2026, Vera set up a coffee and boba stand where she sold some Buddy's Buddies merchandise to raise money for an important cause that supports families in domestic crisis called Know Your Worth. This foundation was created after a horrific tragedy occurred, which impacted Vera's friends. She was able to raise $221 in profits in just 3 short hours proving that a little effort can go a long way!
On March 1, 2026, Buddy's Buddies and friends partnered to support the Humane Society of Greater Miami at the annual Gifford Lane Art Stroll in Coconut Grove. Despite the event being rained out after 40 minutes, we were able to raise $404 dollars for the shelter!
On April 25, 2026 Buddy's Buddies and friends set up a booth at the Coconut Grove Slingshot Marketplace event for young entrepreneur's and sold custom-designed mugs, t-shirts and baked goods to raise money for the Paws4You rescue shelter. The kids raised $413 in net profits and learned so much about running their own business and philanthropy!
OUR PROJECTS
The Humane Society has created a youth volunteer program called Kitty Tails - a heartwarming opportunity to spend time with and read to cats while helping them to socialize and prepare for their future forever homes. Vera often goes to the shelter to read and particularly loves explaining the funny cat puns to the kittens!
